What Banyan Commons is

Community is the practice

Most meditation apps are designed to be used alone. Banyan Commons is the opposite — a place where practitioners gather around shared themes, shared teachers, and a shared commitment to growing.

Every month, the whole community moves through a theme together. You'll receive a weekly recorded meditation and a monthly dharma talk anchored in that theme. You'll have access to a curated list of offerings — courses, retreats, and practices — from Banyan's teachers.

You don't have to do anything on a fixed schedule. But when you show up, you'll find people who are with you.

A Monthly Practice Theme

Each month, the community gathers around a shared theme — a lens for practice, reflection, and connection.

Weekly Recorded Meditations

A fresh guided practice every week from one of our teachers. Return to them whenever you need.

Regular Dharma Exploration Sessions

Deeper teaching from our lineage — wisdom to sit with, return to, and let work on you slowly.

A growing recordings library

Every meditation and dharma talk is saved and searchable. The library grows each month — the longer you're a member, the more you have access to.

Everything Included

What $10 a month gets you

Not a watered-down trial. A real practice community, with real teachers.
Available when you need it.

Monthly theme

At the heart of Commons is a shared theme that the whole community practices with together. This month: The Four Foundations of Mindfulness — what it means to feel rooted in your body, your breath, and your daily life.

Live meditations

A fresh guided practice every weekday from one of Banyan's teachers. Breath awareness, loving-kindness, body scan, visualization — varied enough to keep you growing, consistent enough to build a real habit.

Dharma explorations

A longer teaching session, 60 minutes, from a Banyan teacher. Rooted in the monthly theme. Not a lecture — but a shared conversation with the practice itself.

Meditation library

Every meditation is added to your library and stays there. Browse by theme, teacher, or length. The longer you're a member, the richer the archive gets — hundreds of hours of practice to return to.

The people who guide you

Teachers who walk the path with you

Our mentors don't just teach mindfulness — they practice it, live it, and bring decades of embodied wisdom to every session. They get to know you. They notice what you need. They're with you for the long journey.

From our community

What members say

People come to Banyan for different reasons. What keeps them is the same thing: they feel less alone in their practice.

"I love my community. They are warm and supportive, especially when I feel most vulnerable. I have shared things with them in this space that I otherwise would not share with others."

Aishwarya

"I don't have anyone else in my world that I interact with on a regular basis that practices. Hearing how others incorporate mindfulness into their daily life is inspiring. I look forward to meeting each week."

Cameron

"Banyan helped me sustain my practice by remaining motivated to meditate daily. Increased my self-awareness. The group practices are a gift, a precious moment that has become necessary to my life."

Sophie

Ready for something deeper?

Commons is a beautiful place to begin. But for many people, the most meaningful change comes from something more sustained — a weekly group, a teacher who knows your practice, and real accountability over time. That's what our mentorship groups are for.

A weekly live session with a dedicated teacher and a small group of fellow practitioners. Ninety minutes of guided meditation, personal check-ins, and real teaching — every week, the same people, the same teacher.

Your teacher gets to know you. They notice what you need. They're with you for the long journey, not just the good sessions. It's the kind of practice that actually changes how you live.

No experience required. Beginners are welcome.
